JEC ORGANIZATION

 
Jovenes en Camino is a registered nonprofit organization in Honduras. Jovenes en Camino must operate under the laws of the Honduran government. Jovenes en Camino is managed under the direction of a Board of Directors. The members of the board are Christian men that care deeply for the children and the mission of Jovenes en Camino by giving of their time, talents and financially supporting the organization. Many of them have been involved since the organization began. The board meets regularly to evaluate the needs and constant challenges at Jovenes en Camino and are dedicated to prayerfully and wisely managing the gifts that are given to Jovenes en Camino. They have also been required to file residency in Honduras and make personal trips to Jovenes en Camino to see first hand what the status is during the year.

These men are fathers, elders, deacons and successful in their work and involved in their church and community. They are committed to the children at Jovenes as well as to you, the supporter. They pledge to do their best to follow the laws of Honduras, as well applying Christian principles, to maintain an organization that you can have confidence that your dollars are used most effectively and as you determine.

In Honduras, Jovenes en Camino employs a full-time director to manage day-to-day operations of the boy's home.

In addition there are 30 employees that take care of the children, prepare food, teach, clean, manage the farm, drive, do maintenance, office staff, guards, etc. It requires many people to take care of approximately 80 boys.

There are also volunteers, sponsors and visitors that are vital to the work of Jovenes en Camino because they bring ideas, physical and financial support and are instrumental in sharing the news of Jovenes en Camino so that others may be involved in changing the lives of these children.
Jovenes en Camino is supported by churches, caring individuals, businesses and foundations world wide.
